Driving from Calais through Belgium to South Germany, I've tried various hotels for stopping over. This was definitely the best and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to stop over en route for the night. Good restaurant; nice bar with bar snacks if restaurant's to expensive for one; coffee, tea, hot chocolate in room; mini bar; great bathroom; spacious bedroom; super breakfast; plenty of parking space; pets welcome; friendly staff; - and (although cold but refreshing) nice clean pool! I will definitely use it again.

Easy Check-in and free parking was good. the room was clean and had a comfortable bed. Best aspects: the hotel had a good location for exploring the area and there was free wifi available throughout.

The breakfast was not very tasty and lacked variety. the staff at the restaurant were a bit unfriendly, which put a damper on our morning experience.

Location to motorway excellent although satnav enabled us to find hotel at first attempt. A narrow road with a small sign to the hotel leads to the hotel about 1km. Plenty of parking on site somewhat remote if not traveling by car. Rooms very clean and well appointed with coffee/tea making facilities provided. There is a large commercial centre 5 km away called Les Grands Pres easy to find with a satnav address Place des Grands Pres a big Carrefour restaurants and shops. Good choice for a one night stop or more if you want to explore Mons by car.

The breakfast and restaurant prices are somewhat high so a visit to the commercial centre if you have a car is a good option.

The food in the bar and breakfast offerings were excellent. The rooms were well appointed.

We were attending a conference at the university with no shuttle service available. It was an expensive taxi ride each way-we let the conference organisers know.

Located in a quiet area surrounded by nature, perfect to disconnect from the noise of the city. The bar area and outside sitting area was very relaxing. Prices were reasonable and the staff was always friendly and helpful.

The room didn't meet our expectations in terms of cleanliness. We found some hairs in the bathroom and the sheets didn't look fresh.

Easy to find, good car park, helpful staff, outdoor pool, good overall standard.

The dining room offered no main-course vegetarian food.

The restaurant at the Mercure was excellent for dining.

Breakfast was not worth 16,50 euros. The bathrooms need to be updated.

I was charged for breakfasts although they were included in the price of the room while booking. The only way to get to/from the hotel is taxi, which is rather expensive. The choice of facilities for a four-star hotel is restricted.

Despite arriving late we were accommodated with dinner, wine and warmth. The setting was very pretty with autumn colours which we could see through the windows of the bedroom. Breakfast was also excellent with wide choice and as much as you could eat.

Good free WiFi

Room not particularily clean Old windows and cold drafts 17 Euro breakfast was over priced and buffet was spotty. Coffee was limited to one slow machine. You go there because it is near SHAPE ... not because it is nice.

The rooms were very spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was good value for the money. As an American we prefer larger hotel rooms and the Mecure certainly provided that!

It would have been nice if the snow had been cleared from the parking area. T was very slippery walking from the car park into the hotel.

Location - in the forest, very quite, fresh air, close to a small village with variety of restaurants.

Bathroom needs updating

The location and facilities of the hotel were excellent. The room was also exellent and the hotel was very helpful in that they supplied a room with smoking allowed.
